Shrusti

SVCE has been conducting intra college cultural competitions for its students since its inception in 2001. They include activities on Drama, Debate, Writing, ging, Dancing, Computer based competitions etc. These activities are usually conducted in the even semesters and are well attended by the students.

This year the events were conducted under the banner 'SHRUSTI-08'. We conducted events in as many as 26 disciplines out of which there were 15 individual and group events. The new event started this year was 'Computer Gaming ' which was well received by the students.

The event was conducted between 3 pm and 4-30 pm on weekdays from Monday to Friday and between 1-30 pm and 4-30 pm on Saturdays. Events like Rangoli, Anthakshri, Solo singing, Group singing, Dumb Charade, Essay Writing, On the spot Programming in -C received overwhelming responses. In total all the events were well participated and everyone enjoyed taking part in it.

This year Shrusti-08 also paved away for competitions amongst faculty members. Event like Rangoli, Solo singing, Dumb Charades were conducted for staff members.

As expected Shrusti was a big hit. More than 70 percent of students were enthusiastic to give their names for the respective events, which was a record in SVCE history.

As the names started to flow, the dates of the events were scheduled and were put on notice board. The names were registered before the conduction of scheduled events, but the response was so huge that even we registered the names on the spot.

The results were fair and were declared on the spot and some results were announced the next day. We had our own faculty as the judges for the events who were really co-operative with their decisions and results.

After a long discussion we introduced a new event, which was like a dream come true for the students. We were successful in introducing for the first time in SVCE history "COMPUTER GAMING" competition and as usual it was also a smash hit in Shrusti events and got a stunning response. The events of Shrusti successfully got over with a life long mark that brought smiles on students face.

We are very grateful to our staff members and all HODs who supported us in every aspect of conducting the event successfully.
